  • Good Morning!

Lots of things happening at Trinity!

Youth Group – We have formed an 11 member youth committee, this committee will be working on full force on ways to spark and grow the youth group here at Trinity.

  • First up on Wednesday, February 10th  from 6:00-7:30pm  will be a Bon Fire with a Cornhole Challenge, some Devotions and lots of fun! Best of all, its trimmed out with pizza, hotdogs, pop and hot chocolate, along with some prizes too.
  • Then looking ahead as summer approaches there may be some off site adventures around Genesee County, the State, and maybe even the Country! We’ll see how the committee draws the map in the months ahead.
  • Next year is hopefully going to be another National Youth Gathering in Texas, if it is held, plans will be made to take as many youth as we can on a field trip to one of these one in a lifetime experiences. This as well as all the youth trips can get expensive, so the students are required to pay a portion of the expenses and Trinity help out with a portion also!
  • So this brings me to the final item that I have for the youth, the annual Red Envelope campaign! This fundraiser helps offset some of the cost for youth events and also help the youth realize some of these opportunities. Beginning in mid March and running for about 3 weeks, the table with the Red envelopes will be back in the Narthex! If you would like to help the youth group, please grab one of the envelopes that fits your budget and drop it back in the collection plate, in the mail slot, or mail it in. We thank you in advance!

Saturday Evening Services– I am sad to report, due to extremely low attendance, we have ended Saturday Service until further notice. When we restarted it we were seeing around 30 people, but that only lasted a couple weeks, then the numbers quickly dropped the last 3 weeks offered were down to as low as 3 people. We hope once the COVID scare is over, we will be able to offer an evening service once again.

Worship! – We ask that you to make the right decision when attending worship, this is whether to attend the in-person service or not. If you are not feeling well, please worship from the comfort of your own home until you feel better. Thank you in advance!

They are ordered! – I am talking about something that many people have asked for, especially the ladies! Yes I’m talking about heaters for the restrooms! There is a slight glitch though, the manufacturer is running way behind in production thanks to on again off again schedules with the virus, so it may take up to 5 weeks to get them in. We will be praying for less virus and more work for speedy delivery though.

Tithes and Offerings- We would like to thank everyone for keeping your financial commitment to Trinity each week, it certainly helps keep everything running smoothly!

LIVE STREAM – Trinity’s live stream continues every week of the 9:15 service on FaceBook and YouTube. Looking ahead, we will also be live Ash Wednesday, and each Wednesday through Lent at 7:00pm, then Holy week, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday at 7:00pm and Easter Sunday at 9:00am.

Church Landscape– Our church landscape has changed! Our office is back open 9:00 – 3:00 Tuesday – Friday. Janet Maul is back in the saddle Tuesday and Friday 9-3 and 9-11:30 Wednesday, Shari Shomin is there 12:30 -3 on Wednesday and 9-3 on Thursdays. Janet has filled the roll of  Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator and Shari will be working on Promotions and Membership Coordination/Revitalization. Welcome to you both!

Educational Classes- Sunday school and Bible Study’s are continuing each week, in person and on line. Pastor Bob is hosting the men’s bible study on the 1st and 3rd  Monday evenings of the month from 6:30- 8pm.  Pastor Frusti is hosting verse by verse bible study on Thursdays from 11- 12pm. Youth Confirmation Class continues on Wednesdays from 4- 5:30pm, and the on  Sundays at 10:15 are all the Sunday School Classes.

Thank You! – We would like to thank all our volunteers that help out each week to make our services and missions happen, whether it be an usher, elder, greeter, salt team member, cooking, doing mailings, or just smiling at a visitor and saving welcome! THANK YOU!

Facelift- We are in the process of getting bids for painting here in the Sanctuary, the Lobby got a fresh coat about 5 years ago, and the Narthex was painted about four years ago, now it’s time to spruce up the Nave, keep your eyes open for a new fresh look in the next few months.

Ash Wednesday- Is Wednesday, February 17th, again this year we will offer 2 services, one at 12:00 Noon and one at 7:00pm, both services will offer communion. Moving forward from Ash Wednesday we will have a Lenten service each Wednesday at 7:00pm., again this year the Pastors in the area will be doing a round robin, preaching at a different church each Wednesday.

Happy Birthday Jesus- Trinity’s first ever “Baby Jesus Birthday Party”. Was hailed a huge success! Plans are already underway for next year! Thank You to Shelly Hershberger, Kathy Boyce and all the volunteers that gave their time to make it a success!

Decorating- We would like to thank everyone that helped transform the Church into the beautiful Christmas décor for the season, and then came and helped pack it all away again until next year! Your help was greatly appreciated!

And Finally! – I do have some GREAT news for everyone this morning before I conclude this update, and that is there is not another 5th Sunday in the calendar until May 30th!

God’s Blessing to you all!
