Good Evening / Morning Everyone!

CHRISTMAS EVE WORSHIP – This year in an attempt to give everyone the opportunity to come to worship on Christmas Eve, we will have 3 services 5:00pm, 7:00pm, and 9:00 pm. This will allow us to practice social distancing, and will also allow for disinfecting the building between services. This year will have a slight twist! We will have signup sheets for each service, and you and your family will be ask to indicate what service you will be attending, this way we will not over crowd the church, with the hopes of keeping everyone healthy. The sheets will be in the narthex and will also be available on our website, we are asking for you to indicate what service you and your family will be attending, this should help stop one service from being overly crowded and the others from hardly having anyone. We will also be Streaming the 7:00 service via; YouTube and Facebook for those avoiding crowds.

Church in the Future! –Great news, we have added back our Saturday 6:15 service and best of all we didn’t lose too many from Sunday for that to happen! At this point attendance is rather low, on Saturdays we’re averaging in the mid 30s and Sundays the mid 40s, but no complaints about attendance,  we’re just happy to have people wondering around the building again. Also, a related note, beginning next week, we will be offering communion every week again, just one more step back to normalcy.

We do ask that you to make the right decision whether to attend the in-person service or not. If you are not feeling well, please worship from the comfort of your own home until you feel better. If you have been exposed to someone with COVID self-quarantine as recommended and worship from home until after your quarantine. Thank you in advance!

LIVE STREAM – Our church service live stream continues every week on FaceBook and YouTube of the 9:15 service. We will continue live streaming going forward as an opportunity to reach more of God’s people. Up until this point we have maintained an average of around fifty viewers each week, even after opening our Saturday service back up. That means total worshipers for the week are running around 170 people. Please plan to join us each week, if you are not able to attend in person, are traveling, going to college, home-bound, or just not wanting to leave the house on a snowy morning.

Church Landscape– Our church landscape will be changing in the next couple months:  After a review of the past 5 years, along with the guideline that were approved for the Minister of Youth pilot program, the Board of Elders it has determined, as good stewards of Trinity, to end the Minister of youth pilot program, effective December 31, 2020. Dan will continue here through the end of December, and we ask that you all keep him in your prayers as he furthers his ministry.

Also, resumes have been received, and interviews will be taking place in the next couple weeks to fill our new Administrative Assistant/Volunteer Coordinator position! The plan is to have our new person in place immediately after new years; the person selected will be working Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays, approximately 15-16 hours weekly.

Tithes and Offerings- We would like to thank everyone for keeping your financial commitment to Trinity this year! The uncertainties’ of how our lives would change during and after this COVID thing was a concerning proposition for not only Trinity, but for all churches. As it stands, Trinity is maintaining all aspects of our financial commitments including our tithes to missions this year. Going forward please continue to remember Trinity each week, as the winter bills do get pricy with the boilers running and the parking lot maintenance. Text to give, the us mail, and the mail slot located half way up the ramp to the church are great ways to do this. Thank you in advance.

Educational Classes- Sunday school and Bible Study’s are continuing each week, in person and on line. As is everything else, in house is lighter than it was before COVID  hit, but we are picking up some people on line.

Our Pavilion- I’ m happy to report , that the coat of stain that the pavilion needed has been applied, Joe Robinson along with some help from Brent Meinburg, wrapped this project up the beginning of September. Thank you both for stepping up and completing this much needed task!

Happy Birthday Jesus- Trinity’s first ever “Baby Jesus Birthday Party”. This OUTDOOR EVENT will take place from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19. It include a nativity scene with live animals . . . including a camel, individually packaged cupcakes, and Christmas music. Trinity’s Baby Jesus Birthday Party is a great way to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas with your family!

Decorating- After the 9:15 church service tomorrow/today, we will be decorating the church for Christmas, anyone that can and would like to help would certainly be welcomed.

That’s all I have for you today!

I will be back for another update on the weekend of January 31st, 2021.

Please continue to pray for our world, our country, the people working on a cure for COVID, and for all the people in our country in these very unsettling times.

MERRY CHRISTMAS & Happy New Year!

God’s Blessing to you all!
