Sponsor a Local Child This Christmas

Members of Trinity are invited to take part in this year’s Christmas gift program by Davison’s Outreach East.

Each year, Outreach East compiles a list of Christmas gift wishes from local families in need and asks the local community to help with purchasing these gifts. Trinity Lutheran Church has the names of 50 children who are seeking gifts this Christmas.

If you are able to help with this, generous project, the following information may be helpful in making the process run smoothly:

  1. Select a gift request from the string of garland in Trinity’s narthex.
  2. Record the label number on the sheet of paper near the garland. This extra bit of “paperwork” is helpful if Outreach East cannot locate your gift. They will contact you to confirm that your gift is not lost or remind you to drop off the gift. It can also be helpful for you if you lose the gift tag; you can call Outreach East (Ph: 810-653-7711) and they will be able to let you know what was on the gift request card.
  3. Bring the UNWRAPPED gifts to Trinity by December 2. Please do not bring the gifts to any other location! In the past, gifts that were dropped off at other sites resulted in lost gifts or the gifts being given to the wrong organization.

Thank you for gifting local children this Christmas. When you shop for the child you will know their first name. Consider praying for the child and his/her family as well.

Bring unwrapped Christmas gifts to Trinity by Dec. 2.

Thank you for sponsoring a child this Christmas!
