A Conversation with the World

Imagine, talking face to face with people from every corner of the world! It happened last Friday evening and it wasn’t a Skype call. It happened at Dorothy’s Coffee House when Flint International Friends hosted a conversational group called, “Understanding your Christian Neighbors.”

International students from Algeria, Nepal, India, Turkey, Africa, and Russia joined us as we discussed scenes from the Jesus Film. Hindus and Muslims asked questions regarding why we celebrate Jesus’ birthday.

What an honor to be able to share with others the joy that Jesus brings, not only at Christmas, but every day as we follow Him. As Pastor said in his sermon on Sunday, our worship isn’t limited to just one day. Jesus goes with us in all that we do, from the routine tasks of everyday life to an extraordinary evening of conversation.

I saw joy and excitement in the eyes of a Russian woman who explained to a Muslim man in her conversation group why she believes in Christ and how Jesus her Lord is not only a man—but also truly God!

Share your joy and excitement of being a follower of Jesus—join us for conversation and see what a blessing you can be to those who don’t yet know Him!
