Giving Thanks In-gathering

God teaches in His Word that there is great blessing and peace in contentment and generosity.

“Sweet is the sleep of a laborer, whether he eats little or much, but the full stomach of the rich will not let him sleep” (Ecclesiastes 5:12 ESV)

The Annual “Giving Thanks In-gathering” is one way we can recognize blessings received and help others in need. Every Thanksgiving, Trinity members donate items for Outreach East that are then given to local families in need. This year, Outreach East has asked us to collect the following personal care items:

Some of the donations that were received for the 2018 Giving Thanks In-Gathering.
  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Hand soap
  • Toilet paper
  • Dish soap
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrushes
  • Shaving cream
  • Deodorant

Donations for the Giving Thanks In-gathering should be brought to Thanksgiving Eve Worship on Wednesday, November 27. Members of Trinity’s Youth Group will be on hand to assist in placing donations around the altar area. Those who are not able to attend the Thanksgiving Eve Worship may bring In-gathering donations to the church during regular office hours (T W Th 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.).

Help is also needed to unload the donations at Outreach East immediately following the Thanksgiving Eve worship service. Typically, it takes approximately 20 minutes to help unload the In-gathering donations at Outreach East.

Thank you to all who support this annual ministry of care.

” . . . we have all received, grace upon grace” (John 1:16 ESV)
