Bible Memory Verse:
Psalm 133:1 (ESV) “Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!”
Digging Deeper Study:
The same Hebrew term for “good” in Psalm 133:1 is used in the first first chapter of the Bible. What does God describe as “good” in Genesis 1? Does this hint at the unity God desires among us?
Consider the example of disunity that you see and/or experience. What were the causes of these conflicts? Can you see sin behind them? Refer to the Ten Commandments section of Luther’s Small Catechism and identify which commandments were broken to create this disunity.
Read Philippians 3:2. Does this verse provide guidance to solve disunity? If so, pray about how you will put this verse into practice in your life.
