The mind of Christ causes us to think differently than we do as souls who sin and then die. Our new way of thinking leads us to new ways of acting. We are free to let pride go and become humble. We are free to let selfishness go and serve others instead. In this letting go of ourselves, we trust that the Holy Trinity Himself is working in us according to His good pleasure.
Bible Memory Verse:
Philippians 2:3–4 (ESV) Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.

To what extent was the Apostle Paul willing to put the eternal welfare of others before his own interests in 1 Corinthians 9:19-23?
