Welcome back to church! The Church (with a capital “C”) is not a building. It is not a local group of people. It is all people who believe in Jesus as their Savior. You are in the right place to know Jesus; grow in Jesus; and be part of His Church. Sometimes God seems distant from the human experience. Especially when surrounded by darkness, disease, and death, human reason deduces that life in this world could not be more removed from God’s ways and thoughts. Yet through Christ Jesus, God’s ways are compassion and His thoughts toward all people are abundant with pardon. In Christ, the God who is higher than the heavens became closer than a brother. He has entered our human experience as a man and become fully acquainted with our suffering and pain. This is a great mystery: In Christ, God became last to put people first.
